What I Did
Sketched a Concept
Honestly started with the goal of creating a personalized investing experience for people who care about where their money goes. Most investment platforms are generic or overly complex. Honestly sought to simplify the experience and build trust through clear language, transparency, and purposeful design.
Crafted an Experience
From the start, my role was to shape the user experience. I began with low-fidelity sketches to explore structure and navigation, followed by wireframes that defined layout and user flows. These were continuously refined into high-fidelity mockups, balancing aesthetic polish with product clarity.
Collaborated in DevMode
I worked asynchronously with a developer based in Canada while I was in Berlin. We used Figma’s Dev Mode extensively to manage multiple iterations and maintain alignment. Developer handoff was streamlined through embedded notes, prototypes, and visual specs—all housed in Figma.
User Testing
We tested key flows with potential users to validate early concepts and refine the interface. User feedback helped inform everything from language choices to UI hierarchy. We observed that users appreciated the clean aesthetic and reported feeling more confident making investment decisions—a key success metric for a trust-based fintech platform.
Built a Marketing Website
Alongside product work, I designed and developed the marketing site in Framer. The goal was to clearly explain what Honestly does, who it’s for, and why it matters. The landing page included a compelling three-step product explanation and a call-to-action encouraging users to try the beta.
